This April 15, 2012 commences the 100th anniversary of one of the most memorable historical events in maritime disasters, the sinking of the first and most luxurious ocean liner ever made, Titanic. In 1912, this luxurious and elegant ocean liner first embarked its maiden voyage. After its construction by Harland & Wolff for three years, this vessel was released for use in shipping the most elite people in that period. On board of the Titanic to leave Southampton, England, they travelled towards New York City passing through Atlantic Ocean. In that instance, the fate of the ?ship of dreams? was unfolded, leaving only approximately 700 passengers alive.
In today?s era, this historical event will be remembered throughout the years rendering Titanic an astounding history. Several recovered relics of the ship were auctioned and put up for display to the public in various museums and exhibits. Numerous books and even movies were made to depict the story of this infamous ship of all time.
